The Boot of Remembrance

IOFF’s Karen Hunter received the Boot of Remembrance pin on Friday when she dropped by Guelph Legion’s Branch 234 to congratulate the Ruck 2 Remember-Road 2 Recovery group on achieving the halfway mark on their 4-day 150 km Ruck March (with full gear).

The pin’s maple leaf represents Canada. The boot represents the hundreds of thousands of Canadians who have traded in their civilian shoes for combat boots to serve in times of war, military conflict and peace.

Join us in May 2020 and put on your hiking boots to walk 60 km in the footsteps of the Canadian WWII troops who helped liberate The Netherlands. We’ll wear this pin and remember those brave Canadians who served and those who gave their lives.
