“Take a guess,” said Don White (our famous tulip veteran) as we toured Ontario Regiment Museum where, at age 95, he volunteers on Saturdays.

“What do you think we hoped for most in our care packages from home? Something more valuable than money.”

“Chocolate?” I guessed. “Cigarettes?” “Nope,” he said. “Toilet paper.”
