Experience Nijmegen's Sunset March tradition

At sunset on Apr. 30th 2020, we’ll walk at a slow march over the bridge that marks the exact place where allied soldiers crossed the River Waal in small canvas boats during Operation Market Garden.

As we walk, in silence, 48 bridge lamps will illuminate, one-by-one, for each soldier of the 82nd Airborne Division who lost his life on Sept. 20, 1944.
