The travel programme was designed by Ms Karen Hunter, daughter of a Canadian veteran and a group of experts in the Netherlands; the IOFF Team. The programme is based on the principles of a pilgrimage. The IOFF Team will support early promotional activities (website, social media) and on-site implementation throughout the period, together with a representative of the travel agency in the Netherlands. The travel agency is Verstraete Travel and Cruises (VTC) in Aurora (ON) and VTC will accept the proposed itinerary and add the travel, insurance, food and hotel arrangements to the programme. VTC decides on the prices and merges them into one product: In Our Fathers' Footsteps 2025. The participant buys the product from VTC and has no legal relationship with IOFF's designers.

Yes, you have to be at least 18 years old.

Certainly, but we prioritise newcomers in the pre-registration process.

The participant must be able to walk 18 kilometer in one day at a relaxed pace. No wheelchairs allowed. A back up vehicle is available as well as medical support.

This pre-registration is a tool to measure the interest for IOFF 2025 and influences the promotional activities. It also sets priority to the subscription in relation to the maximum capacity of 140 participants. The pre-registration is non–binding. VTC receives the pre-registration data and will develop the official “Booking Form IOFF 2025”.

It is expected that all costs (like hotels) are clear by June 2024 and that VTC can decide on the pricing near the end of June 2024.
